School Learning Pack

17th March 2020

Dear Parent/Carers

I am writing further to our recent communications regarding the current Coronavirus situation. As the situation is complex and rapidly changing we do not know if or when the schools may close either fully or partially. The greatest concern about the current situation for both parents and the school is that our children will lose important learning time. Following discussions with parents today at both schools, I have decided to issue each child with a home learning pack and lists of activities. Each child will come home with them tonight. This is not indicative of a school closure tomorrow. However due to talking to parents, in order to allay concerns about accessing home learning in the event of school closure, I have decided to issue them today. Please keep these packs in a safe place so that the children can use them if and when the school closes; they are not general homework packs.

Both school websites now have a ‘School Closure Learning’ page which can be accessed on the following links https://www.sylvaninfantschool.net/learning/school-closure-learning or https://www.branksomeheath.co.uk/learning/school-closure-learning , the packs being issued tonight are available here electronically.

For those families already self-isolating you can either access the pack on the links above or arrange for someone to collect the pack from either school office for you.

Kind Regards

The Federation School Office.
