The Golden Mile is an initiative which will encourage the children across the federation to do loops around measured ‘tracks’ by walking, running, skipping etc. The amount of times the children make it around the track is recorded and added up over time. When the children achieve certain milestones such as 10 miles they will receive a certificate.
Today we launched ‘The Golden Mile’ for our year 2 and year 3 pupils. The day started with an exciting interactive assembly explaining all about the Golden Mile and continued with all year 2 and 3 children getting started and ‘having a go’. The children loved it – we even had some children getting around the track backwards and some dancing doing the ‘floss’ all the way around.
